call your fire dept and tell them that the smoke coming from the car is ok

if you do it by adding it to the gas tank and taking a ride, then carry the can with you in case you get pulled over.

I do it once a month.

Add one can to your gas tank and forget about it. The results are outstanding. Don't waste your time feeding it in through a vacuum line, or dumping it down the carb. Doing it that way will produce huge clouds of white smoke, and is good for nothing but a show. In my opinion, it just wastes huge amounts of the product.

Right, it will certainly work that way. My point is, that big cloud of white smoke is all of your Seafoam getting shot out the exhaust. I believe that feeding it in through the gas tank actually "uses" more of the product, and gives it the time it needs to do it's job. But again, just my opinion. :)

Has anyone tried adding it to the oil? I heard of this being done...but I didn't want to try it myself.

Yes, use it right before an oil change to remove extra gunk when you drian the oil. And again, this has all been covered.

OK guys, I have a seafoam related question.

Now, would there be any negitive effects of applying seafoam regularly (I.E. in the gastank/carb monthly) into a 12A?

I am a beleiver in seafoam and i know it works wonders, however, my mother's boyfriend finds it hard to beleive that people (like jeezus) actually apply seafoam.

I bring this up because recently my 85 gsl got the god-awefull "hesistate" upon heavy throttle and occasionally it will stall. This has happened before, and seafoam cleared it right up.

So the point is the fact that I know how carbon buildup can be the ultimate death of a rotary, while my mother's "all knowing" boyfriend can't even tell you how a rotary engine works.

Can you guys help me clear up this delemma?

^^ some walmart's carrie it i believe, definitely at a auto store, like advance or something.

My question regarding Sea Foam; if preparing for a smog check, how much run-time should elapse between using the Sea Foam and getting the check? Could it possibly have any effect on test results if still present in the fuel system, seeing as it is hydrocarbon-based?

it works just fine if you dunp it down the carb just give it about an hour to do its job, butyou have to rotate the motor to make sure you get everything

My brother told me about it and now I use it in my cars. Works great.

kyle tell your moms boyfriend that the rotory gods spoke to you in a dream and that sea-foam is ok to use once a month and that he should not try and tell some one how to take care of thier rx7 unless he buys one and learns a thing or two:icon_tup:

1) Buy one.
2) Learn a thing or two.

I do it once a month because I am quite anal about my 7 staying in top shape, motor has about 20k on it. Some people say that high mileage engines shouldn't use seafoam much, if at all, because at that point the carbon is starting to actually hold the engine together. I'll use seafoam until she pops, then just build another one.
