SA to FB Strut swap... What all is needed?
So it's been brought to my attention that the SA "small bearing" struts may not be the best piece of hardware for a car pushing 150mph. It was suggested I swap over to the larger FB spindle bearing.
What all is involved in this? Do you really think it necessary for a drag car? I'll have good synthetic bearing grease and it won't be sustaining high MPH for long periods of time. Think this is really worth the swap? I already have nice SA drilled/slotted rotors and expensive pads on order. Not to mention the coil over kit I built for these struts. Thanks! |
Hmm, no not for an application like that. The speed isn't the issue, its the g forces on corning
when using the smaller bearing SA spindles. They don't last very long when road racing. For you use, should be fine. |
