I recently bought some of those replacement door seals for my GSL-SE. The package says something about using a door sealant, but it looks to me like the seals just "snap in." Has anyone changed their door seals and can give me some insight?

Also, looking to get a good paint job, not a cheap one. When they paint the car, do they remove the black trim pieces, window seals, etc? Or do they just mask around them...again, I'm talking about a good paint job, but nothing too outrageous (eg I'm not painting the engine bay.)

I replaced mine last fall and I did not use any sealant. Mine where Mazda factory snap ons. As far as painting goes they try to mask off the trim but usually have over spray. Some of your high dollar paint places will strip every thing down but mast people do not spend 5000.00 to repaint a 3000.00 Rx7. I would take the old seals off, repaint the car and then place the new seals on.
