Remove Rust Bubbles?

Searched away, and found just some bondo stuff. Is there a way to get rid of rust bubbles on the car? I am guessing I will have to sand the rust away and bondo it... Correct?

The correct way is to sand it to bare metal then reprimer. You can use air craft stripper also.

Either smooth it out with some sort of filler putty (bondo) or cut out the area and weld new sheet metal on and grind down the welds.... The rust bubbles have removed surface area from the metal and youll have to replace it with something to achieve a smooth paint job in that area.

In general, if you have a rust bubble from a rock chip, then you need to sand a 2" in diameter circle to bare metal. Shoot it with an etching primer, bare metal primer or a polyrethane primer. Fill, smooth, sand with filler, reprime to seal the filler, then paint and clear if needed.
