ran out of time... taking offers on TURBO FB

well, yep. it's final tuning will be finished this weekend. i got the wideband in and all the jets, e-tubes, airbleeds, etc... will be here friday. the car will be running right finally and guess what. it's too late. i will probably have to sell it. i dont want to, trust me. i 've been pouring my heart and soul in to this car for years, especially as of late :( but i think it's coming down to it. it's due to outside factors and unfortunately the car was not done in time. i am currently taking offers on the car and will have a definite answer to whether it's officially going on sale this saturday. it's been fun and tiresome. thanks to everyone who has helped me. :(

12a- TURBO

- mazda reman 50k miles

- 50 sk side draft carb with one piece wrap around manifold. (yes works just fine on a stock port and will make amazing top end power)

- custom carb hat with 2.5" inlet on the side

- s4 exhaust manifold modified to fit the 12a; also the flapper has been removed.

- s4 turbo with wastegate perfectly ported! i did not ever go over 6psi without a boost controller.

- dash 6 AN braided oil feed line. fits directly in the oil pressure gauge spot and mates up to the turbo side.

- oil feed and return fittings on the turbo

- air filter

- turbo xs stage 2 manual boost controller

- 1:1 rate AEROMOTIVE rrfpr

- short custom 2.5" downpipe to magnaflow side pipe

- 2 racing beat exhaust flanges to push the turbo out for plenty of room

- dsm blow-off-valve from a skyline motor. already crushed to handle 30psi if neccessary

- autometer boost and oil pressure gauges setup and mounted nicely

-npr deisel intercooler flat blacked

-centerforce dual friction clutch; 10 miles on it if that.

- short shifter

- gutted and air chisled

- h4 headlight conversion

- soon to come in... 15" black mesh wheels with nice polished lip (haven't even gotten them in yet!)

- poly bushings

- comes with almost full gray interior ready to be put in

- LOTS of spare parts

- suspension techniques springs

- tokico 5-way adj. shocks

- other odds and ends i may not be thinking of at the moment but there is definately more....

- needs a better driver side fender and a new coat of paint. other than that this car is ready to be a beast. i wish i could be the one to tame it.

like i said i dont want to do this.... it's just pretty much being forced upon me. we will see. i have some time, but i know it wont sell in a day so i'm posting now. if i get the right offer it's sold. :( this will be the PERFECT car for someone who wants a turbo fb and not much work to do. get this, and do a couple odds and ends and you will have quite a beast on your hands.

If you don't mind me asking, why ARE you selling this car?

well, motor isn't blown. so dont mind the thread that was posted earlier. everything is fine and it will be tuned this weekend. i'm just kind of taking offers. most of you dont know what i've gone thru on this car only to recieve so little. i've put in waaaaay more money than what it was going to start out as; which is fine, but i would have liked it to gone right. who knows tho, this weekend when i drive it and everything is the way it should be, i might fall back in love with the car. just as of now i've lost it. i might be going to the darker side of the rotary world..... tII.. or maybe even an FD. :( we'll see. just getting the word out that it might be on the market after this weekend.

drozhenbane 05-10-05 05:49 PM

once you drive it, you'll fall back in love, harder than before. Think of it as a marriage, after a few years you need to renew your vows.

Rex4Life 05-10-05 06:12 PM

Glad to hear the motor is OK!

Just stick with it man--you're almost there. Once you drive that beast I know you'll change your mind. Every day I go to work is a blast--really love the turbo in a FB--you will too.

If you do sell I'll miss you on the forum, you're one of the guys that was always there during my swap.

Good luck finishing up the project.

Scott

John64 05-10-05 06:39 PM

Since the motor is running $53.50

cdrad51 05-10-05 06:47 PM

Ok in that case, 55! :p:

Manntis 05-10-05 07:10 PM

i loved both my TII's... and i'll get another one one day... they are great cars, i love every aspect of them.

John64 05-10-05 07:47 PM

See Manntis has to come in and mess it all up!

Directfreak 05-10-05 08:53 PM

IF YOU SELL IT, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!

It's Cheaper to put it somewhere else until you have it figured out.
Damn, it's not THAT hard.

fishbulb95 05-10-05 09:10 PM

I'd buy that, but i could never get it past the sniffer...... stupid California

FB II 05-10-05 09:20 PM

nah it's not hard at all. none of this has been hard. i have just had the worst luck with every... i mean every single aspect of this whole project. in fact, yesterday the turbo took a shit and i havent even had a chance to really drive with this setup. (it was "rebuilt" before i bought it) wtf. anyways, i have another turbo, i've got the wide band, the tuning essentials are on schedule to be here friday... i hope so badly i get it going the way i want it to. i dont WANT to get rid of this car. I LOVE IT... but i have gone over a year with this car just sitting in a garage due to faulty parts, not getting parts i order, not being able to find other parts... that includes missing out on two whole summers and no GOOD reason. i refuse to go another summer without a turbo rx7. thats my main issue. LOL how long is this gonna take? granted now i actually have everything (engine wise atleast), but still my car is doing things noone understands or can help me with. as i said, it's wearing me thin. what makes it worse is i'm theeeee only fb around here. well, that i know of. i have alot of rx7 friends, but none have an fb anymore. i'm pretty F-in sure i wont actually put it up for sale, because i was just out there today tinkering on it and just enjoying it's company :p: but who knows. i appreciate the support and i hope you guys dont get stuck with the shit i have doing this setup.

thekyl 05-11-05 12:50 AM

You know I want to do the same thing but I dont really have the money aspect of the project every engine I have come accross eveyone wants like a zillion dollars for and that just isnt going to happen unfortunatly I hate not driving it and I hate seeing the dead girl in the gurage but I know I wouldnt sell her it just frustrates me to no end. And the wife isnt being helpfull her and her damn bills I just dont understand :) well it will work out the way its supposed to in the end for sure. good luck with your project and if you need some help mechanical wise not to bad of a wrencher myself throw me a PM if you get stuck happy to help if I can.

Max7 05-11-05 01:10 AM

I've thought about selling my car many times. And there are many days I'm glad I didn't and some I wish I had. But in the end I just can't see having my baby in someone elses hands. I'd almost rather see it totalled than with an owner who does not deserve or appreciate it...
