I think all 1st gen racing beat sway bars are red, mine is.

RXRACER85 12-09-03 09:28 PM

yeah you are right FD Racer
mine are red as well i do believe that they are all red that come from RB for 1st gen's

Gregs 12-09-03 09:34 PM

.

Gregs 12-09-03 09:34 PM

this one is painted black

if its not a RB then what is it?, what other company makes performance swaybars?

i know this is aftermarket because the stock on on my car is HALF as thick

FD Racer 12-09-03 09:41 PM

yeah thats definately not stock...it's probably a suspension techniques bar. Where did you get it?

Or maybe Addco?

RacerX7fb 12-10-03 08:55 AM

hmmm how about TMC?

try finding the thickness. Just take the perimeter by using a string and measuring the length if the string around the bar. Then use diameter=perimeter/3.14
See if it is even same size as the racing beat one. It might be a suspension technique.

Cheap bastard. Just go get a caliper :)

DriveFast7 12-10-03 01:29 PM

HAS IT BEEN REPAINTED?

does it really matter who made it as long as it's the thickness you want?

Pedestrian X 12-10-03 03:05 PM

Ever think it could have been a racing beat swaybar painted black?

web777 12-10-03 03:18 PM

My Eibach sway bar is black.

lol, ive got like 4 calipers no need for the redneck way

Gregs 12-10-03 07:27 PM

are there any marking os the RB, ST, EIBACH swaybars to identify them?

im gonna go get the thickness of it right now

Gregs 12-10-03 07:41 PM

the strut bar is 1.125 inches in diameter

racing beat= 1.125"
suspension techniques=1 1/8" (i think it is 1.125 also)
eibach=1.12" (28.5mm)

so it looks like it is either a RB sway or a ST, what do you guys think?

Rx7carl 12-10-03 07:56 PM

Sounds like a crap shoot, could be any of the above. When was your caliper last calibrated.? ;) Mr non redneck technician?

Gregs 12-10-03 08:01 PM

UHHH! LMAO, fuck if i know
i read it by the numbers on the bar part, not the dial......
oh well, i dont really care what brand it is, its obviosly a performance sway bar, and im sure it will make a difference over the stock one when it comes to cornering
