Damn clean. Makes me want to get a Rx-7 for a driver and not mod it as crazy as I have in the past.

I do have the correct volume, I cut a premade box and then filled in the back of the cut with wood and dynamat. Sounds decent for the bass i wanted. All I was looking to do was add bottom end to the sound, and it does that nicely. With an aftermarket deck and better sub and amp, i think this would sound better, as now its not 'hear it from a block away bass' Then again, i wanted to keep it hidden and more original, and also, I only paid $200CAN for the whole setup....

Its that surgeons general warning that was in the lounge a few months ago, says something to the effect of rx-7 fumes are bad for your health, wear a gas mask or something or other is reccomended.

I like it!

Thank you. RX7's "R" Great lol

darthrotary 04-24-06 09:57 AM

absolutly fabulous my man, excellent work, i love it all, but the light up rx-7 hatch thing is the greatest!

RX7Rox 04-24-06 10:10 AM

I have the same vented headlight cover. Did you have a difficult time removing the 4 screws that hold it on. I got two out ok, but the other two screws won't budge. Any suggestions?

Tatterjuice_771 04-24-06 10:40 AM

all i can say is WOW! I really dig the interior, I can't wait until I get the dash and interior out of my 84 put in my 82, and it's the same color too. what are the rims you got and how much ?

SupSai7 04-24-06 11:23 AM

Looks fabulous! The paint is so clean. IMHO the fog lights have to go, they look okay, but really stick out and ruin the clean lines of the car. Maybe change to round to match the headlights?

Buffumguy1 04-24-06 11:31 AM

Man I love that Blue RX-7 Logo in the strike plate. It would be very cool if you detail how you did that. I would love to copy it.

Get a drill slightly bigger than the srew threads. Drill out the + part just far enough that you go though most of the head but dont touch the threads. Then, if you have drilled far enough, just tap the heads off with a chisel and a hammer. Once you have the cover off, the remaining studs can be screwed out easily. This was because the heads of the screws on mine were rusted and painted onto the lid. If your threads are rusted in, then i would suggest drilling with a smaller size bit than the stud so you can just drill out the whole screw and then retap the hole.

its hard... You need to basically dremel out the stock one, then put tape on the face and turn it over and pour in that epoxy shit that they use in craft stores for making thoese clear plastic coated wood stump tables. Then after that, sand the front down, paint the black part and cover it with clearcoat. t

Next, get three LEDS, make a diffusion grating and then make contact poles so you can get power to it. If i get off my lazy ass i might take pictures later.

Since people are still asking:

If you notitce i used two pieces of spring steel, and two spade connectors

I filed a little slot in the stud that goes though the window, basically so i could get the wires from one side other.

The most important part is to make sure you get thin LEDS and I had to file mine even smaller.
