Oil Butter Fix
Ok, I have a tiny filter and a PCV valve from a caravan. If I remember correctly, the oil nipple on the housing goes to a vacuum source (manifold) with a PCV valve, and the nipple on the oil neck goes to the line + filter. Now, which way does the PCV operate, should it work heading to the manifold, or should it work when it points to the nipple?

the valve should flow towards the manifold

and the oil breather should be on the filler tube?

That is backwards. The PCV normally goes on the oil filler and the vent or filter goes on the intermediate plate nipple thing.
