Those are some Nice looking manifolds..

Manntis - Because to rebuild one of those turbos would cost your left Nut.
I believe some of those had Ceramics too.

According to VNT owners, the turbos outlast the engines...

Manntis-the secret of your avatar is God is just jealous because he could not drive a Honda NSX.

JIMMY54 06-03-05 03:45 AM

how can we get in touch with this guy? I have been piecing everything for my turbo project aswell and I need the manifold made somewhere......

However it's be for a 1984 gsl-se but I'd need it to be able to clear the Lower intake manifold. I have and s4 turbo also.

JIMMY54 06-03-05 03:46 AM

ssautochrome has a new maniflold for the s4's with stock turbos..... its a tubuar manifold which I was thinking of buying and modding it.

Rene's SN is 61620B. Im sure he can make it since he has my first manifold as a template. As soon as Im done with the FB, the RX-3 is next but this time, it wil be a bigger unit and it will be a bridgeport. Anyone interested in a GSL-SE P-Port housings?

FB II 06-03-05 03:45 PM

Oil Drain: Oil Pan Vs Front Cover

Out of curiosity, I installed an old 4port 13-B oil pan to the engine mock-up (no front cover) and added used oil until the oil level is in the dipstick's full mark. I observe that welding a bung or a drain in the pan is not a good idea as the drain is almost submerged in oil which can cause slow drainage or a bottle neck. In addition, during hard left cornering, it will be worse. Based on the above, I feel that the drain should go in the front cover.

FYI on oil level: At full mark, the oil level is less than 2 inches below the oil pan flange.

FB II 06-09-05 03:21 PM

this is why i drilled and tapped in the front cover right under the omp. helllll yes.

FB II 06-09-05 04:26 PM

sweeeet, mine came in today! YIPEEEE!!!! maybe i can get my return line done today.

thekyl 06-09-05 05:18 PM

Yea I kinda like that one actually I was looking at it thinking it would be in the way but no it looks more thike it would be out of the way rather than genurating lots of heat directly next to the engine ..... hummm that is actually a really good idea. man ask him how much to ship to 83642.

Thanks
