How much do you want to pay?

Suitable alternative? Ever tried the GM HEI ignitors which can be found in any any auto parts store? They accomplish the same thing in a different way. The wire hookups are similar.

I've never actually done one before, but they are a viable alternative to the increasingly rare J-190 (I think). I need to get one and try it out to be sure. Or you could be the guinea pig.

Gimmie a year, make, and model of car that would be an example so I can order through my shop and get discounts, and I'll try it. I'm starting with a dead ignitor anyhow... :( What should I expect to pay for two if I got them from any regular parts store?

I've seen people sling them around here for less than $10 a piece plus shipping... What price are you asking for some?

I think a '79 Buick 'something' had them stock. I don't know which years and models they were available off the top of my head. Somebody else ought to know.
