It's a Univeral Round 3"in / 3" out from Magnaflow. It is Stainless though.
I have an Aluminaized Magnaflow Oval (flat style) 3 in/3 Out in the middle
of the car as well.

Held up great. Great Sound.

question:
i'm currently running an RB muffler w/o any cat nor resonator (straight pipe all the way to RB muff), and it's very nice and all--not too loud nor raspy--but it's just too restrictive. i've been thinking of using the universal straight through magnaflow mufflers (like what you guys have) and was wondering if it would actually be louder than my current setup....?

I had a 2 1/2 in with dual tip out magnaflow on my 84 gs. I have a racing beat power pulse on my 85 SE. From my experience, the magnaflow sounded waaaaaaaaaaay better and I plan on swapping out in the spring. The magnaflow was much deeper with no rasp, had many compliments. It was a little drony at cruise so I plan on getting the biggest model this time around.

however was it tolerable, like the RB muffler for everyday driving basis? if so, then i'll purchase a universal magna next time around!

I very seriously considered a magaflow but went with the RB. I've been told the magnaflows are loud (I haven't heard it my self), but I can tell you the RB muffler is right on the edge of my tolerance--any louder and I wouldn't like it. Some guys are running two magnaflows and maybe that would be OK as far as loudness. So far I like the RB sound. Usually better performance goes with louder, and quieter with less performance--either way I'm at my limit of how loud I can take.

I have the racing beat muffler, now actually the whole racing beat exhaust. I have a s4 motor, so it has those defuseres in the exhaust ports. The whole damn thing is just way too quiet. MY intake is louder!

The new setuop will be on a ported motor, and its a turbo block so theres no defusers to worry about. Combinded with the dual presilencers, it should be liveable

Is that the stock port version or just the standard powerpulse? Mines definitely got some good sound to it.
