Need help with putting in my MOMO buckets.......

I have the drivers seat already in but when I moved onto the passenger side I could see it was going to be much more difficult. On the passenger seat rails the inner rail is actually on an angle since its laying on the tunnel. And the stock seat rail on that side is angled into the seat as well. Has anyone ever found good aftermarket seat rails and mounting brackets for our first gens? Or maybe someone knows seat rails that are just like our from other cars? Well heres hoping!!!

beat down the inner mount with a hammer until it's level. then use the stock sliders and weld 2 pieces of flat bar across them... attach the seat to the flat bar.... done

hard to find - tho I managed to for my RX8 seat install - aftermarket seat BRACKETS for RX7. They exist. Don't think they are made new now. ebay or even the parts FS area here. Heck , maybe a google search? made my install a breeze. Pass side shaped the way it is due to exhaust run beneath...

I took a peek at my car, and I will try to explain how we installed the seats years ago. By they way, I didn't do it - it was the metal fab guy who built the roll cage.

I had Recaro Seats, and bought Recaro Seat Rails for the seats.
I know didn't use the stock seat rails, because I gave them away with the original seats.

I remember I was able to pretty much mount "Seat Rail 2" with no problems. it was "Seat Rail 1" that was an issue. (Which is why "Metal Fab Guy" ended up doing it.)

All he did was notch (cut the raised bracket) so the seat rail would rest through the notch. Then "Seat Rail 1" fit like butter.

Depending on your seat rails, the location of the notch will be different, but it pretty much will be on raised floor bracket.

My car is notched like the top one "Seat Rail 1" of this picture.
