mixturre and idle screws???

Stock 85 RX7 GS Where in heck is the idle adjust screw, I found the mixture screw, but the other screw is not where the fsm says to look. I know I am old but darn!!!. Bob

Ha-ha Bob....that one got me too! Even with the proper amount of light and a long standard tip screw driver, it's still hard to find.....Keep looking, it's there, between the mixture screw and the throttle linkage. Lots of light and a strong pair of "cheater" reading glasses help to.

Good Luck

Bob.
Yes it is a bear to find, like me more light, more glasses. Long thin screw driver. For myself I have a trained screw driver, it now locates that thing pretty much. You really should not have to play with it too much though, unless someone else has or the spring has lost its tension.
If the idle is that far off check for vac leaks. Shutter valve first, any of the choke diaphrams. And check that big hose that goes down to the manifold, firewall side, on the other side of the carb shown. They have a tendency to collapse and crack.
