Its been a while...84 GSL-SE

About 3 years since I've even taken my 7 out of the garage :icon_no2:

Yesterday I took it out of the garage and after a few tries it turned right over...running smooth as the day I last drove it... :)

I did, however, find a few problems...

1. Need a new battery
2. Have a radiator leak
3. Need a passenger side door handle

I also have some parts I wanted to install that I never got around to...but for the most part it's running smooth and nice to have again...once I replace the rad, batt and door handle I'll have it on the road again...

Since I've been out of the loop can someone point me the right direction on where to get the rad? Maybe do an electric fan?

Well dip my testes in batter and deep fry 'em; it's bizzaro!

...Is that REALLY YOU?

lol...yep...it's really me...i've been really busy traveling for my job that i just haven't had time to keep up at all with my 7...

i kept going back and forth on if i should sell or wait it out...i'm glad i waited...now i really want to get it all cleaned up and fixed so i can drive it through the fall, maybe even line up some projects for the winter...how have you been?

Welcome back. :)

For the rad, don't think there is much new there. There is some company based out of China where a few guys have picked up an aluminum radiator for pretty cheap. The thread about it is probably not too far buried. The other option would be to go with an aftermarket stocker. I got mine through radiators.com. I think it was about $140 at the time. If yours isnt too bad, try taking it to a radiator shop and see if they can fix it for you.

For the e-fan, not much new there either. MR2, Escort, taurus, etc.

Hey, bizzaro - good to see you and your 'SE back on the road.

I must have had my original radiator 'rodded-out' and boiled about 2-3 times by now, and it's still going strong at 205k miles. Check out a radiator shop in your area and that may be your best bet. Small leaks are normally re-welded and then it lasts many more years, esp. if the lead is at one of the bungs or fittings.

Take care, and get that rotory rolling.

Holy crap! I was visiting a good friend over this past weekend and mentioned Bizzaro... Recounted the story of our trip to NYC at Times Square around Christmas a number of years back and how I haven't heard a DAMN thing from him for years... Then I come back in here after, what, a year or more and BAM!! TA-DAAAA!!! BIIIIZZZZARRRO!

Weird!!

Hope all is well, my friend!

I am not where I was was, sadly to say.. Job change forced a move 3 hours west. Old house gone, no more country ground around me (live in town now). Hard pill to swallow but better for the family..

Remember my friend Rob? He went with us to Summit Point raceway and watched the vintage races? He was over when you and the girls came by to camp?

He's end of stage liver cancer right now. I was there Fri-Mon at his place in PA spending some time with him. We talked about that weekend...

Oh- and try a radiator shop and see if the leak can be sealed. Well.. at least around here it's pretty cheap to do..
