I love FB's

Everytime my passion starts to dwindle, I take a look at the pics I have of FB's on my computer and the fire is rekindled. I need to "finish" mine up this spring. Just really needs a little body work and paint, and I'm going to get a different set of rims and I think I might be able to leave it alone, aside for maintanace. I'm going to go ahead and replace all of the wheel bearings as I'm not sure of the age on those, and put a stronger clutch in her.

Hi, my name is Charles and I love FB's

jezek301 01-17-05 11:42 AM

Yeah Charles, I know what you mean! I love the way the FB's look. I have an 85 GSL-SE and I am so happy when I'm driving it. Jeff

My name is Matt and I'm an FB-oholic...

These cars look great, are a ball to drive, and fun to work on too.

I have always loved the look of the FB, and there are times when I still can't beleve I am lucky enough to own one of my own.

I am 46 years old., drove my first SA in "80 and fell in love. That love for these cars, in particular the FB is as strong as ever. Flat out the best looking, best affordable car to drive ever built!! NO CONTEST!!

When I first got my 1st gen, I used to stare at it for the longest of times, admiring its lines :D

Amazing that 20 years later the car still looks agressively sporty.

anthrax 01-17-05 01:33 PM

There is a timless quality to the FB.

The car just plain turns heads all of the time. I allways get prositive comments on my car when I have it out.

dj55b 01-17-05 03:26 PM

hey my name is sam and i too i'm in love with my FB

ever since i first got it, it made me a somebody in my neighbourghood, people sotpped by to check it out, got planty of good comments about it (even when its shocks were off, engine was half torn apart, and all kinds of parts on the inside) its a sexy car all around, and i don't htink that i'd give it up even for a maclaren F1 or a Zonda

(i should request to get it buried beside me when i died :D)

Hi, my name is Charles and I love FB's

DITTO. And, I'm doing now. Completing my wide body work w/ a few touches: targa band & whale tail. Every time I hear that RB ported 13B rev I get chills.
Same w/ my 240Z w/ Chevy 350 V8. Damn, that high performance shit gets my blood pumping. God, I'm easy: A wicked grin creeps over my face... aps over me....YEAH!!!

Hi Charles... my name is Pat and I'm a FB-aholic. Been one since I first laid eyes on one ...Still remember (December 1980, Eastern Michigan pay-as-you-go night lot off washtenaw, 9:30 pm, and in silver).

clean85owner 01-17-05 06:59 PM

My dad owned what is now my car since 1989. ...I was born in '88...

I literally grew up with my car. It got more and more performance parts as I grew taller and older. I've been a rotarhead all my life, and I don't plan to stop any time soon.

I think it was really cemented in me that I love my car when I first drove it at 9. That was it; I was hooked.

Hi My name is Marcello.....and i'm an FB-aholic as well. I bought my 82' GS back in april/may 04' and I have been in love ever since. I can't get enough of driving it, working on it and starring at it..................anyways yeah i know my little 12A is not the fastest thing on the road but it sure is amazing to drive!! I live FB, I love rotaries, I am a rotor head!

Myc1972 01-17-05 07:10 PM

You know, it's simply amazing how no matter how similar our cars look, we
can't pass up looking at the pictures of other's RX-7s that look almost identical
to ours. Honestly, I don't think other automobile enthusiasts can say that.

When i saw my RX-7 the first time in a car lot, i told the guys that were in the car
with me, "Look at that car, i cant believe it's from the early 80's, the style looks
modern"

They should have used the RX-7 for the movie "Back to the future" :bigthumb:

Myc1972 (Buddy)

ps: I have also thought, what a shame that i can't take it with me when i die.
They should feature us in the Speed Channel tv show "Car Crazy!"

builder7 01-17-05 09:32 PM

you cant help feel the rush to drive such a great car overall 20 years old and still kickin ass and taking names. unique is the only word for this car. i have had money to get an fd a few times but i cant seem to leave my baby sitting there i too am an fb-aholic since 1990 when my brother bought the first one.

perfect_circle 01-17-05 10:09 PM

my name is cody, i too am a admitted Fb-aholic. ive been hooked, my third grade teacher had one when i was in elementary, and i used to see it, and say damn, i wish i had a car like that, then he was my driver ed instructer, and then i bought it from him...wow, i didnt see that coming. i was akways afraid i wouldnt see the car again, and being in elementary, i had no idea what it was, or how i would find it, but i did.:D

tracer 01-18-05 04:38 AM

Okay, JUUUUST because today is the 1-year anniversary of my being a rotary owner, I'll bite.
My name is Jeff. Another FB-addict. I've been lurking/posting here almost 2 yrs now. I have an '83 gsl that I love. My last car was a CR-X, also a very good car. Anyone who says otherwise is bash-happy. I wish the $3000 I spent on "repairs" for my FB could have been put into "mods", but I love the car anyways. The car is simple, beautiful, functional, and it kicks ass. Do I miss my CR-X? Not much. That is my testament to the FB.

Gregs 01-18-05 05:02 AM

hey charles, welcome to the world ive been living in for the past 2.5 years :) and in only 20

CHEF_EG_1 01-18-05 03:15 PM

My name's Evan, and I'm an FB-aholic. I lost one of the best girlfriends of my life because of the car, a couple FB's have pulled "Christine-like" maneuvers on me and I almost died, and I've had SIX now... I'm picking up lucky number 7 this weekend... and I can't wait. :D

Halenstone 01-18-05 05:47 PM

My name is Dave. I'm a Toppless-bar-aholic. But one day I decided to quit going and spend the money more constructively. So I bought myself an '85 gsl...and a subscription to "Playboy". I love the car extreamly (as well as Miss October!), even though I think I'll end up eventually spending more $$ than I would have at the "strip joints"!! Ahhh, I can hear Diamond, Sugar, Fantasia, and Mercedes crying at all the money they won't get being poured into my car...which would be a major chick-magnet, if empty wallets weren't such a chick-repellant!!!!

pjr 01-18-05 05:58 PM

LOL! A whole new meaning to "checking out that rack" doesn't it!

eViLRotor 01-18-05 06:04 PM

Junia 01-18-05 06:12 PM
