Sgt.Stinkfist 07-07-06 01:17 AM

thx. im lucky the previous owner took great care of it(minus the occasional kid playing too close to the car). it even came w/ a perfect leather bag dealy for the roof.

Nice car, but tell us more info please

Sgt.Stinkfist 07-07-06 03:11 AM

I beleive i am the 3rd owner now, the previous owner lived a couple blocks away from me for years and i always stopped to look at the car. bout 2 months ago i stopped by just to talk to another 1st gen guy(i also have a '79), long story short...he replaced the clutch(OE)put a full RB exhaust and dual sheeve alt pully on, then he had kids, so the car just sat in the garage. I fanally got him to sell me the car for $2000 and that same night me and a couple guys i share a shop w/ installed my RB springs, new shocks and the 15's( i bought them for the '79, but that evolved to a diffent project). hopefully either this weekend or on wed. ill be installing my OER carb that i just got from Rotaryshack and my MSD + coils

Hey, mine too!

Really, really, nice S2. Even though the speedo's only go to 80, the Series 2 is my favorite and I'm glad I have one.

Hyper4mance2k 07-07-06 06:21 AM

Damn I was expecting another beat ass stock 7. And I was going to talk shit, but damn hot ride mang!

rx7owner 07-07-06 06:28 AM

thats a tiny speedo...if i remember correctly mine goes to 200 or 220

MadDuck 07-07-06 07:05 AM

Nice. Nothing tops the black interior... speaking from experience of course, heh heh heh....

Nice car.

85!!! I love my s2 too. I'll be swapping in an 85 SE interior though. My interior is all shat and it's easeri to just replace all of it. :(

So did you put the stock wheels from it on that Bronco II in the background of the second pic? ;)

mazda6guy 07-07-06 11:30 AM

Nice FB you have there. Same color as mine. I wish mine was an 82 then I would be getting the Historic plates this January. I hate the Maryland MVA!

Actually early models only went to 85mph on the speedo. I think it was in 83 or 84 when they went to 140. ;)

I don't like the sleepy eyes, and I don't like the wheels. Either way though, it is an extremely clean and in extremely good shape from the looks of it. Low miles too. I thought I had awesomely low miles at 114,000 when I bought it.

Needs bucket lights and center caps. Then it'd be hot.

Nice car. I love the interior... my door panels are ripped but everything else is cool. :(

bad 83 07-07-06 02:58 PM

Not too bad. If you want to change that speedo to a 130 mph, I have an extra that I need to sell. The wheels don't look too bad, but the headlights------ some like it, some don't. Anyway, good find. And remember folks, don't crush 'em, restore 'em!

Latin270 07-07-06 04:59 PM

Looks sweet brotha! Keep it as is bro!

Rogue_Wulff 07-07-06 07:09 PM

That is one sweet looking car. I like how the silver of the Kosie's works to set off the color of the car. There are few car colors that those wheels really look good on, but I think you nailed it.
Treat her well, and you should enjoy a long-term relationship together.

How do you know?

Sgt.Stinkfist 07-08-06 12:46 AM

thx all for the compliments. as for wheels, the koseis look pretty good (got'em for $390 shipped, new)but i would really love some cast magnesium RS Watanabe's, but at $525 a piece ill need to save for a while ;) . shes lazy eyed temporarily b/c i have to manually operate them(borrowed the fuseable link for another car) but i kinda like how it looks for now. i hope to post some under hood pics (before & after) when the new carb is on
