How hard to replace the fusible link box under the hood?
Im looking into buying yet another rx7, this will be my first 1st gen but 3rd rx7, anywho I have an excellent junkyard closeby where I could get my hands on a new fuse box. The 1 st gen Im about to go look at was damaged by someone messing with the battery, my question to you is would the problem with the electrical be limited to the fuse box under the hood or am I looking at fried wires throughout the car? thanks

The swap is very easy it takes about 5 minutes if you have the fusebox and mount in your hands. Just solder the wires in.

But I dont have to worry about the rest of the electrical system being fried?

it's hard to tell from that, you can go to the junk yard, grab some new fuseible links (grab extras, just to make sure you have some that works) go to the damaged car, and plug them in to see if it makes any difference. (make sure to check for other shorts first). it's hard to tell without knowing some of the symtoms of the car. or, maybe bring a volt meter and see if there is a resistance on the existing links on the car. it's possible other parts of the electrical is damaged (i mean, was the guy cutting wires or what?)
