it bolts right in, the problem is how you are going to connect it to a computer that controls it.....
I assume that you are going to use a standalone of some sort, you need to contact the maker of the ecu you plan on useing, and then find out what its input requirements are. also PM Jeff20b as he is the local ignition guru.

and lastly use the search function, there are about 5 threads that deal with hooking a 2nd gen cas to various ecu's in the ecu section.

If you have a 12a, you can't use the CAS to fire your ignition unless you install an ignition controlling computer.

The CAS does not send a "fire the spark plug now" signal, it sends a signal informing the ECU of the Eccentric Shaft's current Angle, and the ECU uses that information to decide when to fire the ignition.

What this means is that on a stock 12a, you can't "wire it off the same wires". It won't work.

Here's a thead I created a while back trying to figure out how to mount a CAS in a 12a, suggesting maybe a custom ignition controller:

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...&highlight=CAS

And this one even has a picture of the inside of the CAS, which shows you why you can't fire your ignition from it : it would fire 24 times per CAS rotation!

I wish we could put one in because it cleans up the look of that part of the engine bay, but until I can find/create a small ignition controller standalone it's not gonna happen
