I am having all sorts of surging and loping idle at crusing speeds ive changed the fuel filter and fiddled with the idle screws replaced the obvious and now the car is doing crazy shit at idle and wont go away so i am going to gut the cats and am giong to send the injectors in to get cleaned and rebalanced if possible so how much does it cost? :bigthumb:

Injector service prices are between $12 to $30 each, depending where you go.
We charge $12 each and offer quick turn times.

Top notch job and they give you a printed report and all new orings! I thin they where $12 each too.
Edit: Sorry, give him a call he will talk you through the whole process. Hella Cool!

Before you go through all that effort, your SE may just need an adjustment of the TPS.

When my 84SE (sig line) started doing strange things at cruising speeds - steady state throttle - it would hunt up and down, and the idle would be all over the place. I built the 'two-light' TPS adjuster, plugged it in, and tuned the TPS to the correct setting. After that, it has been flawless at both idle and cruise conditions.

So that you know, I had my injectors sent off and cleaned out by a local shop who printed out before and after results showing improved spray patterns, improved fuel flow, and they resealed them and installed new pintle's, too. All this was for $15 per injector and turnaround in 2 days (local). While the fuel economy and performance went up, it didn't positively or negatively impact idle or cruise performance at all.

In that regard, I'd do your TPS adjustment before you go through all the effort of UIM removal and injector rebuild.

It is an SE owners best friend!

Your prfile states you have a 84 GSL, did you mean to put GSL SE?
What idle screws are you referring to, there is only one on the Se. As far as gutting the CAts, this will do nothing to improve the driveabilty issue.
Suging at idle is a indication of a lean mixture. TPS is probably out of adjustment.
As far as idle goes the TPS is a major factor also. Another inherent problem on the Se is the T/body shaft binding and not returning at idle. This will cause the loping idle also. rx7doctor
