Front and rear struts/shocks for 1981 GS

Hi,
I would appreciate recommendations re shocks/struts for my original 1981 RX-7 GS. They have never been replaced. Car has approximately 49,000 miles. Original owner. Gabriel vs KYB? Been advised that KYB are original.
Car has collector plates and used casually, not for racing. Everything remains original, including paint, cassette deck, etc.
Thank you!
PS. Silver, one of my 5 rescue cats. He enjoys the rx-7 too!

The original shocks/ struts on the car were made by Tokico. They are black in color. I recommend Tokico Blue's as a replacement shock/strut.

I think the forum members also say Fox body rear shocks are interchangeable, which should give you some additional choices. The Tokico Blues for the front strusts are the standard for aftermarket performance oriented driving, but NLA (*there was some rumor about Tokico making small runs...). If you find them, check the stock numbers closely, and them order them.

I've been running Tokico Blues all around for 20yrs, and wouldn't use anything else.

No experience with them, but I think kyb are the best for stock replacement struts/shocks.

Shockes

I have had Tokico Blues on my 85 SE for over 20 years. I would highly recommend them. I have had mixed results with KYBs on other vehicles. My friend has Konis which are my usual go-to shock but at the time the Tokicos were readily available and cost competitive with Konis. I have had good luck buying from these guys. https://classicgarage.com/rx72.html

I use Fox body Koni's on my rear but they are not a direct fit. The length is right and the tops mount nicely, but you have to cut/grind the lower mounting eye to fit into our brackets. Just something to be aware of.

Thank you!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Consensus seems Tokico Blue is the way to go. I have found places that sell them. More expensive than KYB but seems well worth it.
Will get local Mazda dealer to install as I do not have time nor tools to do. That dealer has been very good re pricing. $108.00 tax in for serpentine belt replacement. Just wish I had the time and tools to do myself.
Any thoughts re approx time to replace front and rear struts/shocks?
Thanks!

Replacing the belts is very easy. No serpentine belt though on a first gen RX-7. For $108 you can buy the tools and belts.

Can you share your source for the Tokico's?
