front moldings clips

My car is almost done at the body shop but they accidentally broke some of the clips that go under the moldings directly in front of the drivers side window. Victoria british only sells the clips with the entire molding for $150. anyone know where i could get just the clips?

?? clips? I thought the A-pillar moldings were attached with screws? Ah, but maybe the clips attach with screws? You can get "clip-kits" from your glass shops, or likely find same on ebay right now, they list all the time for about $15 a set. 79-83 versions, as well as 84-85, so you'll want to get the right one! I thought these were for the upper and lower fr moldings, but maybe has side molding A pillar clips too?

Hope you/body shop kept track of the "dums" (shaped gasket) that sit under the moldings at both ends? NLA items now.

actually i think two corners of the "dums" are still available. i wonder if you buy 2 of each and just flip one of each around then youd have a complete set of dums

I'd look at VB (now Black Dragon) a bit more carefully. I bought a complete windshield moulding clip set for $15. Its there, and they install easily.

I did and the windshield clips look different than the side pillar clips. the pillar clips look like they install with screws and the windshield ones snap into place..i also checked mazdatrix but nothing..

think the dealer might have them?

keith, when you said "its there" did you mean the clip set you ordered came with the pillar clips too?

for the top and bottom trim clips PN: 1243-50-609 and you need 14 of these for a complete set (3 for each side on the top and 8 on the bottom)
for the side trims the PN for the fasteners is: 8871-50-608 and you need 6 of these (3 for each side)

Merry Christmas: Part # 10 or 11 depending on year. ~$9.00 - got mine shipped for about $15 out the door.

Yes, the A-pillar attachment clips are plastic, break VERY easily and are held in by a single screw. They are included in with the black dragon windshield clip kit for about $15, not $150. Just got two additional sets a couple weeks ago.
