Drain hose?

Hi guys I found this hose unconnected to anything. I did some searching and found some threads about hoses for draining the moon roof but I don't have a moon roof so I was hoping someone could confirm what this is for me and where is should be connected! Thanks a bunch

The tube goes up into the drivers side just behind the door.

As you can see it's quite long.

This a a view of the end of the tube.

That's the hose that drains the vent that faces the rear triangle window in the hatch.

Cool thanks. Any idea where the end goes?

KansasCityREPU 09-05-15 04:33 PM

Thanks for the reply. What i ended up doing is routing the hose through one of the holes on the rear bumper for now. Its next to the the drain tubes for the rear hatch. If I come across a better solution i will post :)

Dammit! Now I have to yank my interior and take a look at where it goes.

DivinDriver 09-09-15 02:31 PM

I *think* it exits the body through a hole that leads inside the frame rail... I don't recall ever seeing an exit underneath for it.

The rear sunroof drain hoses go to the vent like thing at the rear, next to the triangle piece of glass.. The front sunroof drain hoses go down behind the front wings somewhere

Confusing part is that I have no sunroof :/

Haro2488 09-10-15 03:21 PM

What about the rear washer? Do you have a rear washer sprayer?

Haro2488 09-10-15 03:27 PM

I believe on the cars with a wiper on the rear hatch have a spray nozzle on the body in the location between where the moonroof would be and the rear hatch glass. I will have to double-check my gsl parts car when I get home.

KansasCityREPU 09-10-15 05:42 PM

Only the GSL and GSL-SE have a rear wiper and as such, the spray nozzle. The OP does not have a sunroof.

I don't see where he specifies what model his car is, nor do I insist that he has a sunroof. Just trying to offer up some suggestions.

Yeah that's what I was confused about also:lol:. Could be what Haro mentioned. Other than that I have no idea

KansasCityREPU 09-10-15 07:31 PM

Just noticed the OP is from Canada. I wonder if they got a model that has rear wiper and no sunroof? They do have those cool bumper mounted headlight sprayers so I guess it's possible.

Haha perhaps. I also noticed he had power mirrors it looks like.

sorry for the confusion! I have a gsl (non se) 1985. No sun roof. It did have a rear glass sprayer and wiper, however both have been deleted so what was mentioned may be my case, in which case I no longer need this tube? Thanks a lot all!

that explains it, its probably the hose for the rear washer

TimWilbers 09-11-15 06:53 PM

Just checked.
The hoses for the rear washer are about 5/6" OD.
The hoses for the rear hatch drain are closer to 1/2" OD.
