Whats that stuff called,,instead of anti-freeze,,( no not
prestone ) its better then that,,,i remember someone,
asked,or was told about it,, i just forgot what its name is.. I think i would like to try it in my cooling system ,,, thanks all..

Redline makes Watter Wetter I believe...Theres also "High Performance" coolant out there thats orange or something...Its like "Extended Life" or something.

I'm sure it's very good, but it's expensive. Although you do not have to change it with time, you would need more if you replace the water pump, or a hose breaks, or change the thermostat or...and it's not readily available. I don't believe it's worth it, especially for an N/A. It may be a good idea on the 3rd gens (or other turbo engines) because of the supposed increased protection against detonation. I'll stick to flushing and replacing with regular coolant and distilled water yearly, though.


From what I've read, there are two orange coolants: Prestone long-life and Havoline Dex-Cool. Although the they help prevent corrosion, they MAY eat the O-rings. I believe it was Dave at KDR, a respected rotary shop, that noticed a connection. I don't know of any proven link between orange coolant and failed O-rings but, personally, I wouldn't take the chance. Again, flushing and changing the green coolant yearly works well.
