Best advice I can give is to pick up a Weber book or two. It will save you money in the long run. Which Weber are you running? If you don't know, post a pic of it.

hi the ex owner of the car said its 48 and the brand is weber and its got a bigger fuel pump and fuel lines to if that helps

Ask the former owner or post a pic. There are atleast 3 different 48 mm Webers types that fit a rotary, sidedraft, downdraft and w/o a choke/starter circuit.
More info Murry if you want help. I'm not a Dentist, but I feel like I'm pulling teeth to get any info out of you. If nothing else go here. http://www.vintagerotaries.org/index.php?showtopic=17 http://www.vintagerotaries.org/index.php?showtopic=28 |
Read and study the links trochoid posted above. There is a LOT of information in those articles; it will take quite awhile to absorb it all.
There is no one setting of XXX turns of the screw to tune any Weber carb, especially on ported racing engines. Some people do not know how to tune carbs, but they are mechanically inclined enough that they can eventually learn. Some people never can learn, and those people can screw up something as simple as setting the idle mixture screws. Those people are better off sticking to driving, and paying someone else to tune their car. Study, and then carefully try things, and then study some more. |
