The loud obnoxious ugly one. :) Well, it was mine, now I have a slow somewhat quieter much better-looking one...

What I really want to know is: Can you put a 300HP+ N/A engine in a FB wich in total is lighter than 1100KG(around 22-2300lb).

If this is not possible I might consider a AE86 rotary, because this car is lighter than a FB.

It's for a racecar so I don't need a spare tire in my car ect.

Sure you can. The hard part is making a N/A engine that makes the power, and being gentle enough on the driveline so that it doesn't blow parts out all the time.

2200-2300 lb is entirely possible. Again, my SA weighed 2210 and it still had air conditioning.

I think what we need to know is are you racing the car in an organized racing body with regulations. ;)

I want a race car for myself so there are no regulations :D I might want to join an organisation in the future, but I don't think it will be soon.

I want the engine to last so a PP would be out of the question.

A PP would last a lot longer than a monster bridge, which would be your only other option for getting 300hp from a non turbo.

I think you are asking too much. A 300hp non turbo rotary is at the limits of what is possible. There is no way it's going to last like a stock engine. You need to figure out what you really want. 300hp, non turbo, lasts a long time - pick any two.

If you want that much n/a horsepower then a PP is the only way you'll even come close. And as peejay said, a PP will last a lot longer than a monster bridge as you don't compromise the water sealing of the engine.

There are people running PP's on the street and they can actually last a pretty decent amount of time.

gsl and gsl-se are the same rears,just diferent gears,
 

actually.. the GSL-SE and the GSL gears have more diffrences then just the gearing.
The SE rear is bigger.. thats why you can't fit a SE diff in a GSL housing...also.. if you look at the 2 diff...side by side.. you'll notice that the gear meshing on the SE's is thicker as oppose to the GSL's..
Thr GSL had a tighter mesh.. with less play.
The SE mesh is a little looser..but can be adjusted by tightning the sapce between the spider bearings.
This causes less or no play in the rear..which in turn tends to save the rear from snapping off teeths on launches.
I have first hand experience with this mod... however.. it does tend to wear the spider bearing a little quicker.. but is a fair trade off.. and I can honestly say.. it will handle 300+ hp.. with conservative launches.
And believe me "conservative launches" is the key words here.. in a 300+ hp 1st gen.

You most certainly can fit a GSL-SE diff in a GSL housing... you have to use a '84-85 GSL housing because the axles are larger '84-up.
