Bad OMP?
What are the signs of a BAD omp...I think mines letting oil leak down into the engine or injecting way too much on start up.
My dad claims the white smoke is oil, I personally think its fuel (it smells sour and nasty...not sweet). - Tech |
I think the white smoke is coolant or water and not oil. Fuel is black smoke and oil is blue smoke. You might need new o rings in your intake and a intake gasket.

My dad said;
Fuel = Blue Oil/Coolant = White Personally, it smells like FUEL to me, but you never know. I guess it's time to re-do the intake side, I wish I would have had some money because I could have done is this week when I was sick. Where does one get the gaskets and what not from? Is there any hp/tq improving modifications I can do while it's off (no welding please). I think I'm going to clean the 5th & 6th ports up and install the polished sleeves from Pineapple Racing. - Tech |

Unless you just want to pull the intake to modify the 5t/6th ports then that is all you will be accomplishing. |
Yes,
After I rev it a few times to about 3-4k rpms it stops stumbling and then I can drive it fine without smoke until I turn it off and go to start it up again, then its a random thing. I tried to do the fuel hose thing and it still smoked. - Tech |

I don't know how to check to see if the fuel pump was coming on, how do you?

Fuel pump

- Tech Just in front of the left rear wheel along the frame rail. If you hear it running then the AFM is bad. |
Well,
Is it supposed to be a buzzing noise or what? I hear it clunking in the back when I turn the key to on. - Tech |
noise
Should be a constant whirring noise coming from the pump, Hell easier yet. take the pressure
hose off at the rail, put a can there to catch fuel. Then turn the key just to the on posistion and see if it starts pumping fuel. |
I know when I took the fuel filter off to change it gas constantly was coming down the tubes if it counts? I dont think the key was on though.

Well,
I tried the hose test again (by the intake manifold) and no smoke came out so I think it's leaky injectors because I tried the the remove the hose down on the rail too and no fuel came out when I turned the car to on. - Tech |

Ok, you have 2 choices. Find a can of BG's 44k and run it thru the system with a 1/4 tank of fouel or remove the injectors and have them cleaned.

What is BG 44k and where can I find it?
