The rear seats are pretty much meant for amputees or very small children. My Corgis find them uncomfortable.

All Japanese Fb/Sa had rear seats as per their transport law. You can easily install a Fc rear seat into an Fb with minimal alteration to the Fb.

Check out my thread on this very mod:

It is already dark outside, but I will snag some pictures of mine tomorrow if that will help you believe :p

What he said. I have a 85 GSL-SE that I inherited from my parents. My dad originally put in the rear seats so that they could take me and my brother driving when we were like 3... Now, I'm not very big (5'3") but when i sit in the back, the only way i could imagine it being comfortable would be if i had both of my legs cut off along with my head... It'd probably help if i had a few inches of my shoulders cut off too... trust me... the only thing these back seats are good for is keeping my books and papers for class from moving around in the back.

Larz Anderson where is that and when .

RotoBst 08-20-07 04:20 PM

I saw some rear seats at the junkyard and I was excited untill i realized that you can't fold the seat back with someone sitting there. If you were an exceptionally tall dude, you could probably take out the front seat and use the "back seats" to plant your butt.

They're not seats in my opinion, they're just a shelf.

Im a short guy, even with me driving no one fits on the back

boriqua51371 08-20-07 10:23 PM

i am tall guy i guess i could use the back seat and remove front one so i can fit comfortably on my rx.

Jeezus 08-21-07 12:20 AM

I am short, but NO ONE will sit in the back. even if they are a quadruple amputee thats been beheaded, I will still stick with my rule. Back seats are novelty.

This was my back seat.

bliffle 08-21-07 11:08 AM

I think the only practical use is when your short wife is sitting passenger and you have a small child behind her. I suppose you could have a baby behind the driver.

Bptznumba1playa06@sbcglobal.ne 08-21-07 11:27 AM

no fun going on in those back seats unless ur a midget haha not even. ud be beter off taking out the seat and then sit down. its just a waist of usless space anyways besides what else would go there in that space besides a speaker box or roll bars

84stock 08-21-07 02:18 PM

I think the max age for the back seat is about 5.

Rx7UnitOne 08-21-07 02:21 PM

I have the backseats in Cythia and a 12 year old can fit........sideways that is. :rlaugh:

rotary emotions 08-21-07 03:28 PM

I had my 6 feet tall brother on the backseat once, he wasn't very comfy :D
Rear seats came stock for European cars, but I threw mine out. The most intresting point about them is that they came with a roll-up cover for the trunk. That's a bit neater, and the seat keeps stuff from flying around. Other then that, they are of litlle use. Got two sets here, but shipping to the USA would be a bit pricey ;)

Sammy_B 08-22-07 11:57 AM

Pretty much all RX-7's here is Aus are registered 4-seaters. I've actually never seen a "genuine" 2-seater lol. Although I'd have to agree with the above comment that you'd have to be some sort of amputee to have a comfortable ride in the back seat. As there is literally no leg room, once the front seats are all the way back lol :)

Jeezus 08-22-07 03:25 PM

Finally cleaned the interior enough to take pics of the backseats...

And here is with a 5'10 person in the back

I literally got stuck trying to get out, I could not reach the drivers seat handle

Sammy_B 08-23-07 06:57 AM

I found a seat on yahoo auctions it's in the classified section now

Rx-7Doctor 08-31-07 11:44 PM

I heard that the insurance company would discount your insurance when you had the back seat. Something about that it changed the classification of the car.
