am I missing something from the turn signal?
 

Ah, the joys of getting a basket case. I was going through the headlight turn signal switch. Cleaning contacts and re-lubricating. As an aside, the high beam switch did have a fair amount of carbon. So as I was cleaning the 38 year old grease off the mechanism, it seemed strange that the spring would just ride on the plastic ring like that.

Try mazmart in ATL GA, they may have one pulled I good shape. Or try the classifieds on here.

Bad news is you may have to buy a whole turn signal assembly to get the needed, missing part. Good news is, you do see them from time to time and they won't break most banks.
