Alt. problems
By not starting I presume you mean the engine is not turning over rather than not firing..
The first check is whether the new battery is actually charged. Check with he hearlights.If not there is a possible alternator problem. Will it then jump start from an external battery? If yes, the alternator is the prime suspect.
If its is charged then the most likely cause is the starter or a break in the circuit from the ignition switch. To confirm this try a push start.
If its just not firing then its another set of checks.
At least you fuel cots are low!

ok, solved the problem my cd player got a cd half in half out and kept the player on. Thanks for everyone's response. By the way: My dad has an old mighty max we are making into a trailer. Do you think the alt. is the same?
