if it says carb neck 5 and 1/8th no you need to mod it to fit. i measured my carb neck and it was roughly 3.8... or 99 mm could be 100mm. i used a plastic slide caliper so its not dead on.

If you get the hats on ebay you will have to weld in a ring to make the hole smaller for the nikki carburetors.

Mine was made form an intake hat that was on an older Buick V6, and the top was squashed down in a very peculiar shape, presumably to clear the hood braces. I cut the bottom out, laid it down on a soft piece of wood and spent about an hour carefully hammering it to a smooth shape, then welded the bottom back on - a lot of work. After all this, I had to put a bulge on my hood to clear it, but it seems to make good power. Of course I am not running a very high power engine.

There are cast pieces available that will do the job, most with somewhat less volume than mine, which does not matter if you are using it on supercharger blow through system. Of course these are all for a standard 5 1/8 diameter carb inlet. You would have to make an adapter plate to use any of these on a smaller carb and I would think the volume would not be an issue.

I'm kinda limited by the bracing in my engine compartment, but really want to open up the intake eventually.

The car is in the shop for a clutch, but after re-constructing the emissions system, smog-checking it and removing the emissions again, I'll go back to figuring out how to make it breath better with my limited skills and resources.

I am planning to stick a NACA duct in my hood directly in front of the RB air cleaner assembly to feed cooler air to it. Of course I have to get a hood and hack it up, but it should work as well as a cold air intake kit, but wont cost me as much.

ah ok thanks jeezus. anyhoo thanks for the info i should have one up and runnin in a month. im workn on a gearbox conversion (soooo time consuming) and getn quotes to upgrade the complete exhaust, so il fit in the filter somewhere
