I can't find a replacement. Any ideas where to get one? I can't even find a used one.

Your best bet is to get a used complete carb.

Or just make it immobile as the other thread proposed. You'll never know its missing.

I think that's what I did... or at least I hacked it off or something. Dunno I didn't pay much attention to unnecessary parts of my carb when I was messing with it.

My carb is simple. Fuel goes in bowls at 2.5#s fuel flows into venturies at the rate deemed by the jets. I don't have a high idle circuit (man I should hook one up) or altitude adjuster, or vacuum secondaries yada yada yada.

So I shouldn't have issues if I just make it permanently open? Where can I find a used carb? Everything I see is a few hundred. Seems like alot for one piece off of it

You'll need more pieces sooner or latter. ;)

Permanently open doesn't seem to be an issue. Closed it definitely gives you hell. It MIGHT (I don't know for sure) have an effect on your carbon emissions.

I bought one at the local pull-apart a couple of years ago for $50. It became my fat nikki.

Fast idle linkage is good to have even though I use it about 1% of the time. It's nice to know that it's there.

I have A/C.... didn't think to hard when I chucked the linkage. Oh well.
