6 port -4 port conversion??

i was reading and i saw in the post about 13b vs. 12a. there were talked that the 12a side plates on with the 6port rotor housings make a 4 port 13b?

is this right? if so, has any one done it. what problems have you had. any fabing needed?

hmmmm.... interesting....

I don't think this idea sounds correct.

I know that the exahust ports aren't too teribly different, but th eintake ports are a bit different.

I was considering swaping in a 13b 6port into my car. I figure I'll have to have some adapter plates made up so my 12a Mannifold and header will fit but, I don't think that will cause too much of a problem.

I'm not sure if anyone has done this but I'd be interested in hearing some details.

You planning on doing a motor swap?

the 4 port 13b engines flow more than the 6 port 13b's when you streetport them. all sidehousings 76 13b to 85 13b are interchangable , no problem, and very easy!this is a popular swap if your looking for maxium power output!

12A plates swap will ONLY work on a GSL SE rotor housing cause of the water seal groove,

You take
13b 84/85 Rotor housings
GSL SE oil pan,
EITHER a 12A or GSL SE front over.
ANY 13B E shaft,

I guess if you got a GSL SE 13B just swap the plates.
Nothing big :D
