regulator.

5psi and below, no need for a return
Above 7psi (holley blue or F/I pump), add return line.

facet red top with petrol king regulator 1 - 5psi
what about vapor lock already had this a couple of times which is why i wanted to rn a return

OIC. You can add a return on the regulator OR use an orig nikki carb fuel inlet fitting with a return.

Your fuel pressure reg should be set at 3.5 -4 psi if it's flooding something is wrong with your fuel pressure reg. I run a holley blue with the crappy holley regulator and no return and mine has never flodded. check your float settings they might be off. if you insist on a return get s good regulator with a fuel return built into it like the malory 4309

Isn't Vapor lock another word for flooding?

Siraniko 05-30-08 06:55 PM

nope

Hyper4mance2k 05-30-08 06:59 PM

when the fuel in the line gets too hot, forming bubbles or evaporating instead, basically blocking fuel flow.....happened to me out at Palmdale Raceway once.....damn Holley!

Without a return, it is fuel backing up basically until it reaches the bowl...with the return, there is a complete circular flow, which aids keeping cool fuel in the line and also relieves pressure on the pump, making it run cooler and longer.
