1st gen 3rd gen rx7

Would a body kit off of a 3rd gen rx7 to the body of a 1st gen Rx7 can anyone answer this for me Im still fresh in the hyping up a 1st gen rx7

Jeezus 07-14-07 10:20 PM

Yes, if you are a millionaire.

It will need tons of modifying, with tons of bonding, and tons of cutting, costing....well, tons.

Short answer? Go buy a 3rd gen.

or you can be like BLOWNnTWISTED and do a FB to FD conversion.

Yes, but .... why?

The 3rd gen does not have a straight line on its body, its all rounded, the 1st gen flows in a different way

I would advice you not to try

Hey guys thanks for the advice. It was just a thought. I plan on getting a body kit for it but just not sure on how to make it look like the same 1st gen with a killer look not that it dont look good now. thanks for all the advice D1Racer

Ok Ive got another question keep in mind guys its my first Rx7 So bare with me. I was thinking of taking out all the emissions on my 1st gen would I hurt anything by doing that or should I leave it alone

Jeezus 07-15-07 11:39 AM

You wouldn't hurt anything but the environment. Search the forums for your answers, all the questions you have been asking have been covered many times before. Search the archives, they have a pictorial for the SA's emissions removal. Search for "Rat's Nest", that should yield tons of threads.

Since you're new, welcome to the forum and the Darkside. From reading your previous posts, I see that you need to do some of the basics that each new member should do. Start with reading through the FAQs at the beginning of the 1st gen forum, move on to the archives for reading some of the best threads out of our 1000+ pages that we have acquired so far. Last 2 items, download the FSMs, carb manual and whatever other rotary related reading you find interesting in the link provided in my sig and then learn how to use the search engine before you start a new thread.

After reading and searching, if you can't find the answer you're looking for, then by all means post your question.

Hey, a new member to the flock... :)

You just happen to be living in the unofficial RX7 capital of the world. We've got a good group in GR/Holland, so we'll take good care of you. If you want to meet all of the guys, we'll be racing at Grand Valley University this weekend (Sat/Sun).

Also, check this out if you haven't yet: http://mirotaryclub.net/forum/

What hours do you normally work, and what branch?
