1979 RX7 burnt breaker points

I was just wondering what would cause my contact breaker points too burn out very quickly?

bumpstart 02-18-14 06:15 PM

faulty condensor

Could that also be a reason why it won't start anymore as well?

Here's the link I used when I did the swap (Christ, more than 10 years ago. I think I'm getting old.)

Mazspeed's First Generation Rx-7 Club Page

And, lo and behold, the thread where I discuss the swap, 11 years ago.

I replaced the contact points and condensers and wires plugs. The car runs but not that great. i installed two condensers not noticeing there was two more on the side on the vacuums. My lead contact point seems too be burning up really fast again could this be caused by the other condensers i didn't change or maby the timing being off?
