Put her up for sale.

i punched my seven today when I found out that some hoodrat stole my "medicinal" storage device from the console. they even broke the door handle off trying to break in. agit ain't cheap either. guess I gotta wait two weeks before I can get pain relief

Red95FD Sep 4, 2012 03:36 PM

Painted my valance on the se. Now I'm looking for 4 new tires which I can't find anywhere. The 205/60/14 is suppose to be the stock size and the firestones on there now look a little fat on the stock wheels. O well I will continue the search. But the valance looks good.

Cleaning. Less than 2 weeks to JCCS, just enough time for the hampsters to get the job done.

Trying to decide if I should mount up the louvers or not.

Now the engine is opperationall.... I spend most of my time driving, but I did manage to actually fix the front left ball joint (as apposed to staring at it and not wanting to fix it). :P

i would suggest replacing the rotary knob crank unit. new ones are pricey but may still be available. i would personally buy a known good unit.

Got a new one from Dragon. Pricey? Try $150 But I love my se

Red95FD Sep 5, 2012 05:03 PM

Drove it to work and almost rear ended someone when my brake pedal went straight to the floor-very low on brake fluid. Luckily I was able to stop :p since I have the day off today, gonna pull all the wheels off and check there are no leaks anywhere before i top the fluid up. Seems like if I fix one thing, another breaks. Oh, and my ac causes my car to run very hot. Found that out the hard way last Friday.

Redliner223 Sep 6, 2012 03:35 PM

Used the Mazda to haul cinder blocks and wooden stakes today. I'm going to treat the old girl with an oil change next Thursday.
No big deal.

Sgt.Stinkfist Sep 6, 2012 08:00 PM

finally pulled my axles and diff , good thing i did, cause my driverside axle was about to come apart on me. The lock collar for the bearing was backed off about 1/16" and the retaining plate on the outside was actually bowed out, luckily ive already bought new bearings and collars and it looks like im gonna hafta make some heavy duty retaining plates out of 1/4" plate steel....then i pulled apart my LSD which has been getting weak on me, and measured out the clutch discs. they all are within spec, but a few of them have pretty decent gauling on the faces, so i ordered 4 new discs (including 2 oversized 2.1mm ones ;) )

i just hope i have the car back together and running by then end of next week for some autoX action

BrGreenSA Sep 7, 2012 01:38 AM

well, since no one had any rear driver's side wheel cylinders local, i had to order one from rockauto. car will be up on jack stands until next week. also found out that i only had one bolt holding my ac compressor in place, which promptly broke off when i tried to remove it to match a bolt for the other side -__- seems like i cant catch a damn break with this car, hahaha. also, forced induction, although i don't have the money for it right now, has tickled my fancy lately....

jeg0024 Sep 7, 2012 01:41 AM

^^I have A/C compressor bolts off my car.. also I think at least one is a nut on a stud. LMK if you need them. I'd assume they're the same.

Most recent picture of mine, parked at work sometime last week.

Also, I did nothing to mine today.. just looked at it again.

BrGreenSA Sep 7, 2012 01:58 AM

@jeg-thanks for the offer, might take you up on that. beautiful car to be looking at, and at least it has all 4 wheels on it  been reading up on camden superchargers, seriously considering the idea...

Got my wheels painted and tires mounted. Handles much better on Federal 595 RS-R tires. 195/50-15 front and 205/50-15 rear on 15x6 and 15x7 wheels.

Wrapped a spare steering wheel in leather and got it installed.
Measured my ride height and found that my right front and left rear were each about 1/2" low. Fixed that.
Fixed my shifter boot so it would stop popping out.
Installed a new turn signal unit so it will actually cancel after making a turn.
Found that both front tires were worn down to the cords due to mucho toe-in. This probably happened when I installed the turn-in spacers. Did a ghetto alignment on it so it's much better now.

I have a March of Dimes event on Sunday, so tomorrow I'll try to get her washed/waxed (TV cameras will be there, lol) and loaded up for the race.

Fretted about running out of time to get some interior trim fixes done before JCCS, now <8 days away.

Stuck awaiting materials I was hoping to have for this weekend, but which won't arrive til Monday due to the holiday last week.

May have to get by with again trying to glue the cracked pars back together.
