I will when I can get to my storage unit next time. Should be sometime this weekend if there are no interruptions. Thats where I keep my 1st / 2nd / 3rd Gen. What is funny is the car actually came here from Hawaii. My father bought it in Hawaii when stationed there in the Navy. When he was reassigned to Norfolk he brought it with him. Then he gave it to me in High School where I still have it to this day.
Mine is in pieces right now going threw derusting and GSL-SE Full upgrades There are some Pics in my profile. |

BUT...maybe I still have the title of oldest one owner SA! EDIT: Didn't read the response before I posted...and I see now that it's in pieces. I agree with dj55b, I would absolutely recommend restoring to as original as possible. Let me know if you need any info, because mine is 99% original...even the heater hoses are original! Rich |
Rich, if you had time, you should post up some pics of your car. i can really appreciate originality and i am pleased to hear about your car. my 80 LS is almost all original. the only parts that aren't original are the battery, clutch, and tires which the original owner changed and i recently changed the plugs, wires, and front brake pads which were original. kinda neat to see. here's a pic of the original pads. most people would never get to see the original pads as they are long gone. oddly enough, they were made by mitsubishi:

your heater hoses
Jeez Rich-
not sure I would be too pleased to have original heater hoses...!? They must be kinda soft and fragile by now? Tempting fate maybe? Especially the hose running from the fire wall to under the oil filter. Spilled oil (something I suspect you don't do) really makes these disintegrate badly. At least get a replacement for that one, because it is unique to the SA and mazda is dropping SA/FB parts off its stocks list monthly :( Stu Aull 80GS Alaska |

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2114698 I put on different tires and wheel, the rear end panel, the louvers, an aftermarkey stereo, and electronic distributor, all of which are reversible if I want to return it to completely stock. Otherwise I've left it alone...53,xxx miles. Rich |
