no problems

man, the front end of that car looks heavvvvy. Maybe bulky is a better word. Mad props for doing it yourself though!

:puke: I do have to ask, do you get made fun of for your car at your High School?

Then again, after seeing your pictures on FB, this car fits you well...

thunkrd 01-12-10 05:31 PM

at least change the wheels to some nice mesh and get a suspension...

And burn the fiberglass-coverd, metal conduit and chicken wire- supported, paper mache body kit. Get rid of the wing. Spend your money under the hood.

PercentSevenC 01-12-10 06:55 PM

It's his car. I don't understand either, and I think it's horrendous, but whatever floats his boat.

17s look funny in pictures, but in person they're not bad as long as you pick the right wheel.

lx_machado 01-12-10 07:05 PM

the only people who said crap was the people who are chevy fans and dont even have a car or G1 but i have not had the car on the road driving it around town yet but this summer and i am remaking the bodykit but i showed the kids that had cars and driving them liked it and my town is a GM town. but i say FUCK THE HATERS

like i said i wanna get some rims and i need to paint my grill silver i would lower it a inch but then i cant get it in or out of the garage because i only have a 1 inch or i will bottom it out.

Sgt Fox 01-12-10 08:36 PM

Back on topic, here is my FB widebody 17" CCW classics. Personally I think 17" is the biggest I would go on a first gen. Seems to be a good size for looks, performance and decently priced tires.

Apparently punctuation is not your friend. Go back and learn proper grammar and punctuation, then try and insult someone.

THIS is the way that a widebody FB should be built. This, along with Trochoid's widebody and the red car below, are damn impressive cars, and the only way IMHO that a kitted first gen should look.

It is his car, but it's my opinion. My opinion has stood since the first time I saw his FB, and it will stand until that body kit is put out of its misery.

And I agree that most 17's look funny in pictures. However, WAS:12A's 17's are hot in pictures.

2nd gen sub-frame parts are sand blasted, 4-pot brakes and bigger wheels will get there eventually

17" seems to be the consensus around here for looks/perf. I dunno... I've seen some 17s that look too small and some that look too big... Have to see what I can fit under my non-widebody fenders....

I'm not a fan of red paint, but your car is clean. The only thing that I would change if it were my car is moving the mesh back to the back of the bumper cutout, fab up a spring loaded plate mount that swings up at speed and back down at low speeds/while stopped, and paint the grille a matte black so as to hide it. GJ.

SelectMaz at http://www.selectmaz.com.au/home.htm
The airdam is $446 AUD ($288 USD), and shipping is well in excess of $700 AUD ($451 USD). This doesn’t include insurance. Goods will be manufactured after a 50% deposit is taken. Manufacturing takes 2 weeks, and shipping takes 4-12 days.

Some other sort of related info, too...
