OMP lines.
 

I was diddling around with the OMP lines today and thought that there has to be a better way to connect the OMP to the oil injectors. Is there anything wrong with using fuel hose in place of the plastic lines? I was thinking that a high quality fuel injected fuel hose with those little squeeze clamps should work fine. What do you guys think?

Those little plastic lines last 25+ years, how long do you think rubber will last? The nice thing about them is the don't kink and stay where they are supposed to without vibrating and wearing holes due to vibration.

Yes, you are right that those plastic lines last a long time, but does not fuel hose last just as long? All my fuel hoses are 25 years old and look in better shape the OMP lines.

I didn't read the whole thing, but I remember that thread fairly well. The tubing comes in straight sections, and I don't think I can use that considering the hard bends that are required. That's where fuel hose will clamps would be at an advantage. Just a thought :-)

The PO put fuel lines on for my OMP lines and I haven't had a chance to replace them yet, but they work just fine. I don't see why it wouldn't be an issue.

You need to use a heat gun to put the bends in the polyethylene line.
Once bent they take a set to the shape you need.
Use of the wire ties or Oetiker clamps makes it very secure.
This also reduces the number of joints in the lines.
Note that the original lines are very small inside diameter. If you use larger diameter lines be sure to prefill them so oil will start flowing when you start the car.
