An old car of mine. Sold it a few years ago to a gentleman in NY.http://f5.putfile.com/6/16811045194-thumb.jpg

mazdaverx713b 04-01-08 06:56 PM

beautiful car!!! do you have any higher res pics?

mazdaverx713b 04-03-08 07:51 AM

anyone else think this was kind of a rare color?

Rotaryhaven 04-03-08 08:00 AM

I heard they were one year only. That old car of mine had a brown interior, but it was so clean it actually grew on me. I wish I had higher resolution pics.

Supposedly persimmon means "japanese fruit" ??????

mazdaverx713b 04-03-08 08:04 AM

i dunno what it means.. what i do know is that is a beautiful car you had. do you have any more pics of it?

chris_g 04-04-08 12:23 PM

The car in that thread is mine BUT the color is a Land Rover color.

That was before I knew much about color options on the 7. I wish I went with this red though.

mazdaverx713b 04-04-08 02:54 PM

chris, you bought the car from Rotaryhaven?

82transam 04-07-08 11:00 AM

Look what popped up on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1984-...em300214292373

That is a nice car......The ad confirms that it was a one year only. 1984. My old car was a GSLSE just like this one.

ourxseven 04-07-08 11:44 AM

that ebay listing really is a nice car ,

thank god it doesn't have the red interior . two tone grey is OK , but black would be awesome in that car.

82transam 04-07-08 11:49 AM

Yea black interiors are the best looking IMO, too bad 84/85 never had a black interior, why they didn't offer one I'll never figure out.... Gray is nice too though.

crosen91 04-07-08 01:38 PM

the interior on that ebay car looks more like a gray than a black
but that car is in beautiful shape.
however that oval hunk of metal on the front bumper needs to go it just doest belong on a 7

82transam 04-07-08 02:20 PM

Agreed that logo thing on the front plate mount is hideous... And the interior is Grey, they didn't have black offered for those years, I was just saying it would be awesome in black.

i know and i'm in a fight with the tin worm every winter over here in OH. my 85 S is a rust bucket. but since its being restored, i'm taking care of all of the rust issues. i'm done with the bins and the all four wheel wells. i'm moving on to the floor and i'm almost half way done there. thats why southern and western cars are the way to go.
