Fender Flares?

I don't know why they seem so hard to find for me-but where can I get something like this?

Thanks! Found these-

JDM FENDER FLARES COROLLA AE86 FAIRLADY 240z 280zx S13 S14 S15 180sx IMPREZA | eBay

Were they rubber originally? I almost thing if they are fiber glass-may as well attempt to make them myself? Also-anyone know if they need to be re-sized for the RX, or is ti a direct bolt on?

240z/260z/280z/280zx Wide BAMF ZG Flares

Expensive but these are how they look. IIRC the wheel sizing is 17x9.5 and 17x10.5.

Very nice- and yes a bit pricey. Is that your car? Do you have the "wider" flairs?

Which- the one in my OP? I think its a WanGan wing.

In the pics above-as silly as it is I think the teal RX7 in the background looks more "right". The more I see FB's with WIDE wheels, the more I think the flairs screw up the body line, and they look a big goofy with WIDE wheels int he back. Unlike a Viper for example which looks goofy with anything less than 10 wide int he back.

Amy I crazy?

Well there are different ways to go about that, there is the "stance" look where you can shove wide wheels under an SA/FB but it's not easy given the cars really don't need massive rubber under em unless you're widebody or a drag car.

1-2: A V8 First gen I saw for sale on Craigslist, I like the way it looks. Just needs slightly less offset to push the wheels out and a tad lower.

3-4: A member of the 22C Works club in Japan, most people know the club based on your OP pic, Sassy's Red (also seen in black) IMSA GTU Widebody and the Grey ZG Flared SA.

5: The ever elusive Group C kit which as far as I know is only still available in Australia, and if I win the lottery, I will have it.

Give me a few and I'll find a few pics of the "stanced" FBs I've previously mentioned.

1-2: Gino's car, he runs a 16x9 IIRC and has built his own struts/coilovers and taken steps to allow for somewhat proper suspension movement so everything isn't stressed to the extreme. There is another member on here who has a "slammed" FB on stretched diamond racing wheels but he has scraped the gas tank and managed to bend the floorpan from the rear suspension bottoming out.

3-4: The car that inspired me to do ZG Flares, I'm not sure which specific flares he bought but the wheels are Hayashi (HRE) 504s 16x8 -6 and 16x8.5 -6.

5: Another 22C Works member.

It just goes to show that the number of different types and sizes of flares produce a TON of different results and it also depends on how you mount them, I personally love how they cut the flares in the OP Pic but I doubt it would really work on any flare smaller than that.

Thanks man! thats my car in 3-4. The flares are from theZstore.com
honestly i felt really bad cutting up the car but i think it was worth it. Im pretty happy with the way in turned out. I plan on buying the wider flares in the future just so I can run a wider tire. Because of the how low the car is and the wheel offset i can only run a 205 tire.

Do you happen to remember what member this was? I'd love to get in contact with them to find out more about these wheels and setup. This is to-a-T how I want mine!

It's me.

With the spacers, the sizing was essentially 17x9 -25 front, 17x10 -10 rear. Not sure where to get the wide ZG flares anymore but I'm sure you can track some down. If not, PM me and perhaps I'll sell my old set.

Hey man! With how old the thread was, was expecting that to be more difficult to get ahold of you haha. So that setup was with spacers? They still look fairly wide, what were the wheel sizes on those?

And I’d definitely be interested in the flares if they’d be up for grabs!

Rundown on my setup at the time:

-5 lug swap with FC/FD brakes (Respeed kit)
-Respeed coil overs
-Custom built Stich mesh wheels:
F: 17x9 (possibly closer to 9.5") , -10 offset w/ 15mm spacer, 255/40/17 Z1 Star specs
R: 17x10 (possibly closer to 10.5"), +15 offset w/ 25mm spacer, 265/40/17 Z1 Star specs
-Wide BAMF flares
-4-5* Camber in front, fairly aggressive
-Lowered 1-2", just ran it until it rubbed and then back up 1/2"

Build thread is here: https://www.rx7club.com/build-thread...-build-992708/

Have the factory 3pc spoiler and flares kicking around, will try to find time to post them up for sale in the next week or two.

I like the fender flares, but I hate the hardware showing. Are there kits made for metal flares to be welded on?

and when they put these flares on do they cut the original fender for clearance?
