FB console hinge replacement

I just bought a replacement center console hinge from phils roatries. I'm not sure how to remove the old one without breaking anything. has anyone done this? it looks like plastic rivets holding it in, but not sure how they actually work.

Don't you have to carefully remove the plastic pins and replace with the provided screws?

I'd use plastic rivets. You would need to find some short one though.

I pried the rivets up a bit then was able to push the center in a little, which helped loosen it more then was able to pry/pull them out

then was able to assemble it, without screws for now. will try to find some black screws to finish it, but it holds together without them

You have to remove the whole part , it is litteraly like 6 screws at the bottom of the arm rest .
One you remove this there is a metal bracket with a spring with 3 bolts. As for the soft mushy sleave , there are some plastic push pins that I pulled out , you dont really need them TBH.
Edit : seems you found good replacements for the push pins ! They look great .

That looks great! When my hinge broke I just drilled new holes and put zipties in...
