Engine rebuild

My 12a stock engine have low compression and when I took it apart and had someone look at it they said I would need a new engine due to there being too much play in the rotors which causes it to hit the internal housing and leaving scratches, what do you recommend me doing, is it salvageable or what I just want to
have it completely stock, thanks.

Can you post pictures of the damage that they're finding? Depends on if it's in the housings, or plates, there might be resurfacing that can be done to clean it up. Otherwise, with 12A engine parts, they're becoming quite uncommon to find in great condition. We might be able to assess and help guide you.

Those markings are normal on the irons. You will want to remove that rust and oil that iron up. Rust will destroy an iron. Secondly, you will want to measure the iron for any step wear and use a straight edge to ensure the iron is still true.

The good news is that irons are easier to find then housings.
