Dumbass kids that cant drift, dumbass me for giving them my 7

I let my younger bro and his friend take my 7 out for a spin.... what do they do?
Crash it of course!

Nothing too bad, they hit a wooden pole and put a dent behind my passenger door and fucked up my front alignment and scrapped the shit out of the wheels...
they're gonna fix it so im not too worried. just goes to show... idk what but it shows something... dont give out your 7 i guess.

I'll have pix up real soon.

I had a saying back when I sold motorcycles:

"friends don't let friends ride their bikes"

this goes equal for nice cars.

AcidAngel7477 04-25-09 01:49 AM

well i used to let my girl friend drive it to teach her to drive manual but only in parking lots, this kid had a good rep to drifting so i thought it was in good hands, turns out he's never drifted without power steering.... plus he knocked over a street sign so im hoping i dont get cops knocking on my door cuz someone got my license plate, that $150 for the street sign, about $700 for reckless driving, and im not sure how much for hit and run.
i know the first 2 cuz iv had them while power sliding in a front wheel drive Impreza. the car no longer exists, maybe parts of the interior in other Imprezas...

thunkrd 04-25-09 04:52 AM

that just plain sucks. imo the gsl se drifts pretty easily. you gotta be as stupid as hell to not be able to drift in it. you can pitch it hard and still recover.

orion84gsl 04-25-09 09:37 AM

I've let my sister and my ex girlfiriend drive my car before. They were too afraid of damaging it, knowing the wrath that would bring, to do anything stupid in it.

And you let them live?

First mistake: trusting someone who "says they can drift"
Second mistake: not putting the fear of the wrath of you into them before taking it
third mistake: letting your dumb ass brother and his friend drive your car.

My room mate drives my car. He knows that he will be replacing anything that he damages through driving the car recklessly. He also knows that he cannot afford to crash it because to get one in the same shape he'll have to spend thousands of dollars. My dad will drive my car, because I know he drives like an old man. My sisters think my car is a death trap, and I don't think my brother would ever want to drive it.

thunkrd 04-25-09 01:22 PM

after my cousin crashed 3 of his cars (asleep at the wheel... or so he says).. i decided not to let him drive my car.

Hyper4mance2k 04-25-09 02:15 PM

fuck. i barely trust myself enough to let myself drive my 7. let alone anyone else.

blackdeath647 04-25-09 02:31 PM

i've let a few of my friends drive it and honestly i don't trust any of them with it, they're too rough, just because its a rotary it doesn't mean it can hit 40 million rpm :icon_no2: but no damage, i did let my ex drive it one time and she about hit a civic head on, so i made her stop and get the fuck out

BlackWorksInc 04-25-09 02:56 PM

Simple solution:

Require an application and test drive process with background check to borrow your car.

I doubt anyone will want to go through the trouble.

Perhaps hire some acting extras to create a line up in order to get said forms. You know, just in case.

^^^^^hell ya, that the only way to go

DivinDriver 04-25-09 04:40 PM

I barely let anyone else ride in my -7... no one else has driven it in over 10 years. That was the lst time I 'tried' to teach my wife to drive stick... 'unfortunately,' that didn't 'work out.' Muahahahahah!

excuses are like assholes. everybodys got one. Powersteering doesn't make that big a differnce. I personally like manual steering.

The real story is the kid didn't think your car had the balls that it did. does this kid have his own car? Or is he drifting in his moms car?

1RevvinFC3S 04-25-09 05:04 PM

I've let my brother drive my FB thus far and thats it. My FC was only driven by him, my ex, and a friend. I let everyone drive my TA when I had it, and they were usually too scared of it to do anything stupid (it was pretty quick)

JoeyMazda 04-25-09 06:48 PM

I'd rather lend you my girl than my car cuz I know where she's gonna hit at I don't know where the car's gonna get hit.
