Check out this cherry 1979 Rx7!
I almost decided to buy it but times are tough right now. Figured someone here must have seen it, given how mint it looks.
Definitely not mine, I had a 1985 once, it was not even close to this nice. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ctd/965745233.html https://i266.photobucket.com/albums/...2/IMG_8935.jpg |
Wow, that sa looks incredibly clean. I wish my waffle wheels looked that new.
wish mine was in that condition. you guys in cali. are lucky find cars in that shape |
I really should go buy it.. But the weather hasnt looked like that in a long time. Who knows how old those pics are.
I'm emailed him on it.. I see a car that cherry maybe once every 2 years.. |
that really is a beautiful car!!! i like the solid black interior rather than the two tone that i see on so many 79's.
wow. i wish i had the money and the space. geez. i would totally rock that and shut all those z guys out.
Im speechless
i hope someone here buys it tomorrow. cuz it will save me the $ i will spend on it soon.
i'm not sure i have the words ...
*drool*...i hate being a broke ass college student.
That is a prime example of a SA. Very freakin nice. Truly worth keeping all original.
yup saw this on craigslist also and couldnt believe how clean it was
That is the best interior for sure .
As a fan of SAs, I think that one is worth the price. The only downside I could see is the modern stereo thats been installed with the wiring pouring out the passenger side of the console. The rest of it is priceless.
The engine bay wiring is not all original - - somebody's been hacking away in there. & what's with the tape on the shock tower, do you suppose?
Aftermarket speakers have been cut into the original door panels, too Beautiful condition, no doubt... but not "all original." |

The tach on an SA normally is a volt meter when the ignition switch is in the on (not start) position. His is showing its right at ~12 volts I think. Its not revving that high :)

Ahhhh got ya..thanks for the info...ive never been in an SA...so i did not know...MAn i want that car!!! |
i emailed yesterday and never heard back. i suppose i could call if really wanted to look at it. if its even still available. But i wasnt gonna offer 4800... i'd pay $4000 immediately for something like that, but more.. i'd have to think long and hard.
i would rip out all that stereo real quick. prob try and find an oem but i bet the harness is all hacked by now.
Called him, I'm going to look NOW.
I am pretty sure that is the Factory "Premium" sound system in 79.
Not sure of the door speakers though. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...g?t=1230073335 |
[QUOTE=Directfreak;8821209]I am pretty sure that is the Factory "Premium" sound system in 79.
Not sure of the door speakers though. I think the premium stereo in 79 was a Clarion analog tuner radio with a Clarion tape deck in the lower compartment. Speakers were placed in the kick panels and rear, never the doors. The stereo in this car has a digital display and I don't think that an equalizer was offered until much later ('84?) RXDad |
anyone know where i could find the back window plastic, fastback or whatever it is for a fair price?
