No, I meant it's illegal for the seller to be doing that in order to misrepresent the car's condition while selling it. You can do whatever you want to your property so long as you don't misrepresent a car's condition while selling it, or for other purposes of misleading (like insurance reporting) - - that being called "fraud."
Against both Fed and CA law to tamper with an odometer for the purposes of misrepresentation of vehicle mileage. Looks like bidding ended at $4050 without popping over the Reserve. |
