It can vary a little between map sensors and PFCs, here is mine: see attachment.

all you need to do is get a friend to ride along and look at the pim voltage in the sensor check area and write down what it is for different boost according your the boost guage.

That way you can see what the PIM is at idle and everywhere in between. With just a few runs you will see a pattern and get a good idea of what PIM you are at in different parts of the map.

Other guys get a hand pump and pump pressure into the map sensor.....this sounds like a pain in the *** when you can see real time what it is by driving.

It is really easier with a hand pump as you can maintain the pressure more constant.

I hand mine hooked up to the Auto Meter boost gauge, Blitz boost controller which has its own map sensor and boost readout, PFC, and datalogic. Thus I was able to compare all 4 to each other and prove the PFC in mostly in error, as many others have proven.

If you look at a datalog it will display the PIM voltage, boost level, & P cells.

Chuck, have you zeroed the offset of your PFC through the datalogit? This could be the cause of your 1PSI low reading...

No I haven't. If I do that then my maps will have to be rebuilt as the P rows will change a little.

If I do that, then I would also change my ABS Pressure per P row on the top end to max out at 16 PSI because I run stock turbos and map sensor.

In my mity-vac tests with the zeroed MAP sensor I still only get to P19 (the mity-vac gauge read about 17PSI) before the sensor voltage just tops. As long as the maps are tuned I don't see what difference it would make topping the sensor in P19 vs: P17 or 18. Either way there is no way the sensor will produce a voltage to go above it...

I guess I'll hook the mity vac up again tonight & double check the cell vs: boost situation.
