if you want to keep the horn you have to keep the clockspring and enlarge the hole in the new steering wheel hub to allow the clockspring connectors to fit through.

otherwise remove the steering column cover and there are 3 really obvious screws that hold the clockspring on.

the black ground wire connects to the hub and i think i remember it being the orange plug is the horn which connects to the horn button on the new wheel.

ok, now what. can't seem to get the horn to work. when i touch the power wire to the metal that's inside the steering the horn beeps all the time continuously. when i move it, it stops. when i just put the power to the rubber horn that you depress and put it in ...i get nothing any ideas would be nice.

do i have to make a spring plunger contact with the metal inside the hub to make the horn go off when you press it.

put the 2 wires on the 2 contacts on the back of the button. i think thats where the ring goes. its not exactly a vital piece.

FD3Virgin,

One wire has to be grounded and the other wire has to be spliced into horn wire(I forgot what color) if I remembered correctly. Remember to give the horn wire a lot of slack. If you don't, when you turn your steering wheel, the wire will just snap off LOL(from experience).

i grounded the black wire. it was already grounded to the hub. for the power to the horn i took the wire from the orange connector/ red/green and hooked it straight to the horn. still don't work. maybe i will call momo.
