Has anyone delt with Re-Tuning Service Factory in Converse, Tx? My 93 needs a rebuild and I dont know of any places in San Antonio (or very close to) that will do rebuilds and are experienced at it. Just wondering if Re-Tuning is a good place to go. Feedback would be appriciated.

 

If you have access to an suv/truck I would rent a cheap uhaul trailer and tow to Dallas if you have a nice budget (rotary performance or brian d. cain) or Houston if you are looking for a budget rebuild (Chuck here in the south forum). Would rather spend a few hundred bucks trailoring to a reputable builder than roll the dice with a local shop that you have no references on. Just my 2 cents.

Can't speak to engine rebuild work but...

They did worked on my car a year or two ago (leaking turbo exhaust flange).
The price for the work done was more than fair.
Turnaround time was OK given that downpipe and turbo turbine had to be modified.

I know there was another post to this forum from someone that was not happy with work done to their car.

yeah i have heard so-so about their work , some people have really good luck and others i have heard nothing but some bad things..., not trying to be bias but i would recommmend BDC motorsports , Brian is very very good and has been doing my tunes and have dealt with him multiple times with no issue .

 

needed "burped" again. Guess the 1st burping wasnt good enough. (told my buddy that last month). runs at a constant 90`C

 

If you are seeing gas buildup in the coolant system then first thing to look at is to make sure that the line from the coolant overflow tank to the radiator does not have any leaks.

If it still builds up gas then you may have a coolant seal leak in the engine... Some here have fixed this by running stop leak through their engines and at least postponed the need to rebuild.
