CA Bay Area Thermal Coating

Looking for a place that does Thermal Coating much like Jet Hot but local to the Bay Area. I've tried calling Replika Maschinen but no one answers the phone.

Anyone have a place in mind or do I still need to ship it somewhere (Jet Hot)?

I'm looking to Thermal Coat the down pipe.

I dropped my downpipe off on tuesday at accessories plus in Belmont.

The guy was real cool and real straight forward. He said it would be about 8 days turn around.

I can let you know how it turns out Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll post pics.

Just got the call to pick up my downpipe. Pics will be up tomorrow after lunch.

So far so good Accesories plus finished the work under the deadline that they set.

I couldn't wait so a ran over on lunch break.

Thunder Fab 3 inch downpipe coated at Accessories Plus in Belmont.

The finish looks nice

Pic take with flash. They coated the pipe inside and out. "As far as they can reach inside."

Overall, I'm really satisfied. The owner was chill and down to earth. Fast turn around and the finish looks good. FYI they do not take plastic so get cash when you pick up your parts. Also if you use something like Google maps or GPS to find them it looks like they are inside a BMW shop. They aren't! Drive into either of the drive ways for the BMW shop and make your way as far east about 200ft or so and you'll find the shop. It's the farthest one back.

I will be bringing other parts back to them. Good shop and good deal.

Nice finish, couple of questions come to mind. Did they coat the threads and how much was the service so I have an idea how much cash to bring?

Either looks good. I have a JDM Downpipe I want to coat so I may head up there later this week.

Yes the threads were coated. I doubt it ill be a problem. I'm guessing that the coating thickness is measured in microns and if it is a problem it's nothing 2 seconds with a drill and a wire pipe cleaner won't fix.

This cost me $80 due to the length of the pipe and diameter. Here's the drill.

Drive up to the shop.
Greet owner.
Place parts on counter
Specify coating. I picked the Satin Black since it's the highest temp coating they have.
The guy measures the pipe and gives you a quote.

If you have a short down pipe the cost should be less.
